So yeah, my little Layla is now 5 years old and always such a pretty kitty! Proud mum is proud :3
This photo was taken yesterday, it looks like we may finally be heading towards spring, and I hope I'll be able to post colourful flower shots soon.

I love the subject matter. Of course, cats always make good subject matters, but there's something about the way to make them express themselves and connect with the viewers. The look in her eyes leaves me questioning, whether she's looking at a bird in the trees, or maybe at a person she admires. Or maybe she's just staring at the sky.
I love the bokeh background. It's pretty in a sparkling lights sort of way, but does not take the focus away from the cat. It definitely emphasized, not dominated.
As for the technique, I don't think I've seen anything new or creative, but I like the arrangement of the composition. And it's not really easy to keep a sharp focus on a subject with a shallow depth of field.
