WishmasterAlchemist shows how a colourful photograph can still be taken and yet retain a great naturalness, as evident in
Artificial Rainbows, an aptly titled, beautiful piece that is grounded in colours both natural and not, thus creating that awesome sense of dichotomy between the two. (

Let me start out by saying your composition is lovely. For a still life focusing so tightly on vertically stacked objects it was good of you to go with a centered composition. The stem coming out of the vase and going off at an angle adds enough direction that the composition is not boring being centered. It was a good decision to photograph the square container from a slight angle, rather than head on. I feel like if this same shot was taken with those notes head on it would instantly become boring. The slight angle of it makes is what makes the picture interesting.
While I enjoy the focus of this piece the background becomes very distracting. I think part of this reason is that the foreground has such light colors, but centraly behind the objects is dark splotches in the background. This shift in contrast puts more emphasis on the background than the foreground. I think some experimenting with the placement of your objects in relationship to the colors and contrasts of the background might have found a background less distracting.
The only other thing that could be criticized about this piece is the slight purple/blue line of pixelization around the base. This is a common photo problem and there are many good tutorials how to avoid this on the web if you want me to pull some links for you.
Otherwise, your subject matter, lighting, color palatte, focus and composition are simply well done. You should feel very proud of your photography.
Either way, this photograph is very amazing. You always make such good pictures. c:
I especially love the lighting, and as said before, how the various colors blend together. The flowers are especially pretty, and the vase is such an odd shape.
I like the background, although it gives me a slight headache when I stare at it.
Other than that, the picture it's self is great, and beautiful.Keep up the good work, Wish! ♥
