Blue Lily of the Nile / African Lily (Agapanthus Africanus) - this plant used to be in my garden too, and bloomed regularly every summer so richly and beautifully. Unfortunately it was quite an old plant (I've seen it bloom for over 10 years) and one year the exceptionally rigid winter killed it, so I guess that this photo is even more precious now.

Thanks everyone for the support I'm receiving on my revamps of old shots. Your feedback is much appreciated! ♥

This photo brings back a lot of memories. When we first moved to our current home, we hand a lot of strange plants in out front yard. There was one that smelled really awful and attracted quite a lot of snails, so my mom had them all trashed. In the summer, almost all our neighbors had these beautiful blue flowers in their yards, and that's when we realized what amazing things we had gotten rid of.

I love the brightness of this picture, reminds me of summertime. The blurred background helps us to pay attention to the flower itself. Even though the idea is not very original, it's a beautiful piece of artwork and I'm sure I'll be coming back to it over and over again.

Thank you for deciding to revamp this picture. I'll be looking forward to more and more wonderful deviations.

Good luck in the future!

I don't know the name, I mean.. I've heard the name but since I've submited the picture I couldn't remember it :XD:
In Mexico people speak Spanish too.. but sometimes the name or the expression of the different things changes... I think the name of this flower is not the same :)
