Seven Years Gone by WishmasterAlchemist Seven Years Gone by WishmasterAlchemist

.:: Seven Years Gone ::.

because Smarty turns 7 today :3

Indoor photography isn't really my thing - actually I've been feeling kinda not in the mood for photos lately - but since today is Smarty's seventh birthday, this is a must-take and must-post photo. The little beast was posing on his cat tree in the living room.

Photo taken with Manual settings - a little bit of flash was needed, so I used the internal flash.

Shot with a Canon PowerShot SX1 IS
Full View highly recommended | I hope you'll like it!

Cats are always such beautiful creatures to photograph. It is like the camera is drawn to them. Makes me want to go back through the photos of my old cats. Oh, how I miss them.

I like the angle of your cat's face, how the whiskers are, the clarity and brightness of the eyes. And his facial expression almost appears to be surprised which, in my opinion, is appropriate since it is his birthday.

The colors, while not super vivid, are warm and I feel like it all goes together well. Good job. Wish your cat a happy birthday for me.

I initially thought this was a painting when I first saw it, with an interesting palette of colours. Getting animals, much less a cat to pose for a picture is an art to itself. Maybe not unusual or unique, but I like how you caught him in a 3 quarter portrait pose. The utilization of light is very nice, as it can be hard to get a nice balance when a flash is incorporated. He looks very intent, yet seems very relaxed - you can tell by the whiskers. Another thing about the pose is how regal he appears. A very nice job!

Porta molto bene i suoi anni :) E' una bellissima foto e anche se stata scattata in casa, la luce perfetta! Io non sono per niente capace di fare foto all'interno! D:
Adoro le macchioline sul naso di Smarty, lo rendono particolare! c:

This is a very pretty cat! Well done as far as the pose goes...lucky shot or did you have a talk with him? XD All joking aside, I love cats, and this is one beautiful cat. Could I possibly use it as a profile picture for the Warrior Cat RP site I am a member of?

Thank you! Smarty always does whatever he wants, so any good photos of him are very lucky captures.

Sorry but no, I normally allow use as reference for digital and traditional drawings/paintings, but nothing that involves the original photo directly.
