Less is more. This is one of my lightest post processings ever, so light and simple that I was doubtful whether I should publish the picture or not. In the end I did and I'm pleased to see that the simplicity of this photo was appreciated.
My main concern when taking the shot was not to overexpose the anemone - white flowers are hard to expose correctly, especially when under direct sunlight - and contemporarily not to underexpose its leaves. Luckily, I took several shots with different exposure settings to be sure I'd get one I could use, and this is the successful one.
In the post production I cropped the image, saturated the greens and yellows, and shifted the colour balance on warmer tones. Done! The afternoon light, naturally filtered by the trees, was perfect in its own way.
The title was inspired by the lyrics of Imagine Dragons' song "Bleeding Out", one from their album "Night Visions" I particularly love at the moment.
Thank you for reading,
