Description

.:: Time Spent In Reconnaissance ::.

is seldom wasted

I guess I'll take a (very) short break from cat photos. But if you are a fan of my furries don't worry, there are many more feline shots to come. Apparently I didn't photograph much else during the spring and summer of 2013. Anyways, this photo of a water drop on the petal of a red Gerbera daisy was taken in June 2013, using the Super Macro mode of my bridge camera. In the post-processing I tweaked the contrast+brightness, colour balance and saturation, and added my usual amount of sharpness ;3

Enjoy <3

Photo taken with Manual settings - the bokeh and shallow DOF are 100% natural and lens-made, no textures applied.

Shot with a Canon PowerShot SX1 IS
Full View highly recommended | I hope you'll like it!

This is my first Critique, be warned.

This picture is amazing! The lighting, the blur, its all just astounding! If only the flower with a raindrop wasn't so commonly used, this would get almost all 5 stars for each one! The lights blurring in the background, and the seeds blurred too, it makes you focus on the front; and the raindrop. I rated the technique 4.5 only because the blur in the back of the flower looks a little odd for me, but otherwise everything else is perfect. It almost looks a little unreal, how beautiful it is. Amazing work!
